A red letter day - a new chapter, marked by purpose and the hope of adding good to the world.

We went for lunch at BAO to mark the occasion after having completed formalties and opened with two beer shandies - a grape Easy Breezie which was comprised of grape cordial, light beer and Aloe Vera foam. The foam presumably created with an espuma gun. It was refreshingly perfect. The food at BAO was excellent as always and following lunch we visited the Photographer's Gallery and much later, repaired to La Maritxu for a slice of basque cheesecake together with an iced coffee and matcha.

I don't think I could choose between a La Maritxu classic cheese cake and a Tiramisu if my life depended upon it. Without question, the best burnt basque cheesecake I've ever had. My top tip is to download the app and start collecting loyalty points. La Maritxu is also one of the few places that you can get a good coffee after 4pm outside of a restaurant setting.
